Somewhere in the Middle

to

These were the long days. We drove most of the time, and cut out a few stops to scrape some more hang out time later down the road.

We camped in one of the most magical places ever, which included a pond and a fire, and countless tiger lilies. πŸ•πŸŒΊπŸŠβ€

We were woken up by mosquitos a few nights.

Saw Mt. Rushmore.

All in all, it was fantastic, even if it was a bit of a slog.

A great littel gyro spot in the middle of who knows where.
Cory likes spanks.
"Shit on a shingle" I was informed this was called in the military. Otherwise known as creamed chipped beef.
My first military surplus store.
I'm a sucker for a dumb joke.
Tiger lillies!
Our bikes enjoying the sunset.
Katie giving the fire a little oxygen.
A perfect way to start the morning.
We popped off for some Mennenite food.
We rendezvoused with Kacie and Timber who were also on a road trip.
Poutine was the natural choice in the place where cheese curds are from.
A quick bike ride for brekkie, then back on the road.
A good hair day.
Sunset from the road.
An overview of badlands.
Some natural history in the visitor center.
You can actually walk around out here. So cool!
Just gotta see if i can reach that...
Rushmore was under construction. We still had to pay $10 to park.
A taste of America.
