In And Around Austin

to

The only thing that was really on the list was barbecue. And we got that, mostly in one grand setting at La Barbacue. Katie took off for a few days for a wedding, so I did some camping, where she rejoined me.

Getting organized before climbing, so many things in so many places.
The river from above.
A chill, but fun climb.
Summer sausage and cheese snack to keep us climbing.
Tried climbing this roof and got shut down in short order.
Two cars, two bikes.
Excited for brisket!
Katie's forearm for scale.
I can't believe we just spent $50 on lunch.
Beef rib, brisket, and a hot link.
Such a thick rub on that bone.
Katie's arm for comparison. It was a phenominal beef rib from La Barbacue.
Valentines pizza, a new tradition.
Getting a valentines day table is easier the day before.
We finally managed to get the radios fully charged up.
Our cute little tiny-home, just after Katie took off.
The campsite.
A view of the mucky river near at Thorn Ranch.
Moon through the trees.
A place to read.
Sunset among the thorns.
A modest fire.
Cooking cinnamon buns in the fire! Only slightly burnt.
Slow cooking a roast for a few hours with some red wine and some potatos and carrots.
Biscuit on a stick.
